Kendon

I know that I am a few days early, but since I have a few minutes I thought I better get this post done. My baby is turning 4 on the 27th!!! I can't believe it. When people used to tell me that "they grow up so fast", I thought they were nuts. But it's so true! I can't believe how these 4 years have just flown by. I must say Kendon has been a joy to have. Of course there are the usual tantrums but he really has brought so much happiness to our family.
I want to write a little about his birth. I had a doctor appointment on a Monday and the doctor wanted to see if I was progressing at all. He told me I was already dialated to a 4 and that if I needed to get anything done I better do it now. Being as stubborn as I am, I thought whatever, I have 3 more weeks until I am due. But thursday morning at 2:00, Kendon was certainly ready to come out. We left for the hospital around 3:00a.m. and he was out around 4:00 a.m. I am so glad we left when we did or he would have entered this world in our car! :) He came out so fast that the doctor hadn't even made it into the room yet. Luckily his dad was there to "catch him".
He weighed in at 7 pounds 12 ounces. Our smallest baby.
Kendon was such a good baby. Always a handsome smile. I am lucky to be his mom, and we are lucky to have him in our family. His sisters love him and he always calls them "his girls". When he wakes up in the morning he always asks me, "mom, where are my girls?" Kendon, we love you. Happy 4th birthday.

Giant Snowman

My sister Kim had built a snowman at her house and so my kids were pretty jealous. So, Kevin didn't want to be outdone by Craig Smith, so New Years Day, he put on his gloves, his boots, and sheer determination to build a snowman bigger that theirs. Here is the outcome, and yes, it was bigger. So Craig, bring it on!!!

Kevin's Birthday!

This was Dad's 32nd birthday. The kids picked out a Transformer party. He had his typical Rice Krispie cake and then had presents and a family party. We love dad and had a fun day celebrating him. I think the kids enjoy it more than him!!!

Thanksgiving 2009

I know this is out of order but I forgot to do it. We had Thanksgiving with the Langheinrich side this year. We had it at my parents church which was great because the kids could just run around, plenty of kitchen space, and nobody's house destroyed!

Christmas 2009

We kept getting Snuggies as white elephants so now we have one for everybody! They played Mario Brothers on the Wii for a long time.
Kourtney got Chrissa, her American Doll and lots of art stuff.
Kennedy was up at 4:00 a.m. dumping her stocking out. I made her go back to bed until 7. She got Dora the Explorer Girl. (The teenage Dora, not the "baby" one. :)
Kendon loved decorating the tree. He would go to his room and find toys that he could add to the tree. It looked fabulous to say the least.

Here is Kendon with his very special toy he wanted so bad! "Rocky the Robot Truck". Whenever he saw a picture of Santa with presents he would tell us, "that present is Rocky and it's for me."
Kevin and Kendon at temple square.

It was a busy Christmas once again. I feel it gets even busier as the kids get older. We have school parties, dance, cheerleading, preschool stuff, family, etc. It was a whirlwind of activities. We did squeeze in some fun stuff though. The kids had a fun Christmas. They were so excited for Santa to show up this year. All month long if they were being naughty they would immediately ask, "Am I on the naughty list??" So thank goodness for the naughty list. They were all happy with what they got. It was a fun month!
